WELCOME TO THE V INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC FORUM “DISCOVER DONBASS”, 3-4 of December 2009, in Donetsk, Ukraine
Traditionally «Discover Donbass» will gather over 150 managers of authorities, Embassies, Consulates, Diplomatic and Trade Missions, International Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Ukrainian and foreign businessmen, financial officers, analysts and scientists and will be noted as one of the most significant international events in the region. In 2008 over 20 countries of Europe, Asia, Africa and the United States took part in the Forum.
The main purpose of the Forum – attraction of international community attention to further development of trade and economic cooperation with Donbass, presentation of scaling projects, searching of the ways of launch and, certainly, - obtaining important business contacts, exchanging of ideas.
Program of the Forum will include plenary sitting, which will present Donbass opportunities under new economic conditions, three separate sessions in the most important sectors of economics,
main topics of which are:
1. Donetsk region competitiveness
2. Business in Donetsk region after the crisis.
3. Social responsibility of business.
4. Ukraine and EU: pros and cons of free trade
5. Key questions of preparing to ЕURO 2012.
6. Investment and bank activity in the region.
7. Ecological and industrial safety.
8. Surmounting the crisis. Experience of foreign countries – participants of the Forum, etc.
For more efficiency of the work of Forum individual negotiations of foreign participants with representatives of Ukrainian business circles will be organized. During negotiations all participants will have opportunity to present real projects, to exchange experience and opinions.
Gala Party will be a bright part of event, where business communication with important partners will continue in informal atmosphere of “Donbass Palace” hotel.
Program of excursions to the biggest Donetsk companies will enable to get practical information about economic position of modern Donbass.
The Forum will be held with assistance of the Regional State Administration, Donetsk Regional Council, Donetsk City Council, major National and Regional companies and authoritative National print publications.
